Queen of Cups

Tonight was do or die, all or nothing, boom or bust!!! The teams tied at 4 games tonight's game was the decider for the Nancy Chisholm Trophy.

It was a very open game despite what was on the line, a few penalties but not much in the way of good chances, Mimi was on fire tonight, she never missed a save and the game was level with less than four minutes left when a cynical and blatant trip gave the opposition a penalty shot.  Mimi was totally unphased, the shooter picked the puck up at center ice and veered off to the left wing Mimi was out of her net managing her angles and tracking the shooter who was charging at full tilt towards her, she stood tall and tracked back as she had been taught to do, a deke from the attacker didn't throw her and she made a superb stop.

Her bench erupted, her goalie coach was jumping like a loon, which she simply got to her feet and skated back into her net like it was just another save... it was huge, from the face of they went straight up the ice and scored, a win, the series and the cup won... not tonight the goal scorer the hero but Mimi for the huge save.

The cup was presented and Mimi was also awarded net minder of the season she has been brilliant and I am so so proud of her and her twin who played at center for the opposition but even he was whooping from the bench at the save, little sibling rivalry here (often)

Here is Mimi with the Nancy Chisholm trophy looking pleased with herself and rightly so
