ANZAC 100 Years

A collage to commemorate the day.
An Australian soldier stands on the memorial to the ANZACs gifted to NZ from the Australian Government and installed at the entrance to the recently opened Wellington War Memorial Park Pukeahu.

The sea view is the Wellington South Coast atop the hill stands a memorial to Mustafa Kamal Ataturk.

There is an inscription therein with a very moving message Ataturk sent to the mothers of the soldiers who now lie side by side in Gallipolli, Read it here: WWW.nzhistory.net.NZ/media/photo/ataturk-memorial-wellington.

It's said if you look out over the bay towards the Wellington Heads it is exactly how the Gallipolli landscape feels.

This is one of the places I walk the dogs....very special.
