Turtle Crossing

A rare turtle, or do they cross rarely?  Lake Maria State Park is home to Blanding's Turtles, which are on the endangered list.   I drove through the park today because I was passing by.   Today was rainy and cloudy and I didn't see any turtles.  The park also claims to be one of the few remaining stands of the "Big Woods".   (think Little House in the Big Woods, or on the Prairie).   When the leaves are out this will be a beautiful drive through the woods.
