Fields, hills and cows

This shows the typical Devon scene that greeted me this morning ie fields, hills, and cows.  The weather was cloudy and grey and later in the afternoon the rain slowly rolled down the hills to engulf us.  This is good weather for us as we intend to spread some seed on our rather bare lawn tomorrow.  It was destroyed by  leather jackets (Crane fly larvae).  Despite having treated the leather jackets two weeks ago we still have some emerging from the lawn and a couple of Crane Fly (Daddy Long legs) emerging.  So it looks like they are making an early appearance as they are not usually around until August.
