Guillemots in Broad Geo

There's been a lot of weather around on Shetland today - from heavy snow (at about 05:30) to rain to sunshine, from thick cloud to clear skies and from still air to almost windy. And that was just before lunch.

I spent quite a lot of today at Sumburgh Head - although the puffins seemed to be reluctant to put in any major appearances while I was around. During the morning it was particularly good to see and to be able to hear the guillemots on this stack in the Broad Geo of Smithfield just below the Sumburgh Head lighthouse.

It was also good to finally meet up with Lifeat60Degrees who provides a much more reliable stream of Shetland blips than I do!

And for today's bonus photo - you get some of the awesome cloud formations that have accompanied the Shetland weather.
