Wild Weather

A really entertaining game of football at the Park for the first 20 minutes was interrupted by a rain and hail storm of Biblical proportions. After skating around for some minutes the ref took the players off and the groundsman brought out his fork and brush supplies. Cue ground staff, stewards, opposition substitutes, St John's Ambulancemen and chefs from the executive restaurant swarming onto the pitch to deal with the deluge.

Half an hour later a much less exciting game started with the ref suggesting to the players they might like to tone down the tackling in the interests of getting through in one piece. The score stayed the same, 2-1 to us, and we are safe from relegation with one game to play.

The sweepers and forkers took the honours with a special mention for the half time DJ who managed to find his copy of Why Does It Always Rain On Me by Travis.

In other news I had a really good night out at Lincoln Drill Hall with my buddy Alison watching a very funny Susan Calman.
