Camara de Lobos Take 2

I wrote a whole story yesterday & just as I was about to press "Publish" the battery died. I was not impressed.

We had a quick swim in the indoor pool before breakfast. The water was marginally warmer than outside.

We planned to go the market to get fish and veggies for dinner tonight, but it was a public holiday and the market was closed. We walked around the street markets of Funchal instead, before going to Cabo Girao - the highest cliffs in Europe (or maybe the second highest). As it was an overcast day there was no view other than of clouds. We missed the bus back and had to wait for the next one, which we nearly missed as well, as it stopped around the corner from where we were told it would pick us up.

As we had to change buses in Camara de Lobos, we had pregos & katembes for lunch.

On the way back we stopped at the shops to get bits for tonight's and tomorrow's dinners. We got boerewors for tomorrow. C isn't a sausage fan, but if one sees boerewors displayed as "boerewors" in a supermarket in Madeira, one has to try it.
