Chrysanthemums

Chrysanthemum comes from the Greek word 'Chrys' meaning golden, and 'anthemon', meaning flower.

My darling wife grew these golden flowers from cuttings given to her by our friend Heather in Rotorua.

They certainly brighten up the living room today, which is turning out to be a very wet, gloomy and dreary day, as we catch the tail end of the dreadful cyclone that has been wrecking havoc in New South Wales, across the Tasman.
