skindancing launch

I was at Waterloo Tea House in Wyndham Arcade for the first time this evening. I'd been invited to the launch of Susan Richardson's new poetry collection, skindancing, which is published by Cinnamon Press.

Susan read from the collection and I absolutely loved the poems: shapeshifting, shamanism, fairytale and myth, animals changing into humans and vice versa, and the imagery and word play were wonderful. 

The illustrator Pat Gregory was there as well and it was interesting to hear how she went about illustrating such a collection.  

If you're in Cardiff, you can see an exhibition of skindancing poetry & prints in Waterloo Tea Rooms, Wyndham Arcade until June 1st when it will move to the Penarth branch of the tea rooms.
