Delays

We flew from Zihuatanejo to Mexico City today, but it not the quick, easy flight we all expected. For some inexplicable reason, no flights were allowed to take off for more than an hour. It was announced that there was heavy traffic in Mexico City, but that did not explain why the flight to Houston was also grounded. It caused a massive build up of travelers in our little terminal as people kept arriving for the later flights yet we were still on the ground (and taking up valuable space as is evident here). We were finally allowed to load and make the short flight to Benito Juarez International AIrport, but then had to sit on the tarmac for another 15-20 minutes before being able to deplane. We could almost have taken a bus in the time it took us to fly. Will be spending five days here in Mexico City with our friends from Washington, showing them a different side of this great country.
