The Ice Queen

I don't know what variety of tulip this is but I declare that henceforth it be known as the Ice Queen.
The reason for its icy state was an unseasonal snow storm that hit us yesterday evening. The snow flakes were by far the largest that I can recall ever seeing. Does the great celestial weather controller not realise that May will soon be upon us?
