Holy Monday

Feeling dreadful this morning despite the wonderful sunshine outside. Somehow managed to get up, feed the horses and then load up the dogs in the car for a walk. I wrote off getting a "Holy Monday" Blip as I only planned a quick nearby walk.

However the Blip duty and a number of twitters with Nogbad, now in Munich and downing coffee and beer in the city centre, forced me to try my very best to do what has to be done.
.
While Nigel was twittering his doings in the metropole I tried to convince him the real Bavaria was out here in the sticks. Bavaria is not just about beer even if it has religious connections. Out here is the land of Milk & Honey & Religion & Alps & Regenerative Energy.

We had a lovely walk near MrB's beehouse in a sea of dandelions. The countryside is spectacular and with thunderstorms, rain and plunging temperatures forecast from this evening onwards had to capture the scene.

It took a long time to connect Milk (cows) Honey (Dandelions) with religion. I ended up having to drive around the area to find a cow. 99.9% are still indoors but eventually spotted these girls on a small organic farm between Stephansried and Ottobeuren. In the background the so-called "Buschel Chapel" from 1715 and which I have Bliped before.

The Alps and White-Blue sky were a bonus, the wretched electricity pylon was beyond my photo retouching capabilities. By the way, all things Bavaria are "white-blue" and never "blue-white". That propellor on the front of your BMW is turning in a white-blue sky. The Greek flag is blue-white even if it has strong links to Bavaria - the first King of Greece, Otto I, was a Bavarian Prince!

After all the excitement of finding an appropriate Blip, the stone(s) seemed to have moved. Not sure if they have been ejected or just not obstructing at the moment. Tummy still not happy but by evening a lot better.

At around 8:00 pm the skies darkened and the storm started. Was switching off fuses to various bits of equipment, central heating, telephone, router, electric gates when an almighty bright lightning bolt knocked out electricity in the village. Angie was driving home at that moment and saw the almost horizontal long orange streak of light.
A miserable night for Flash who can't bear storms.

Have just spotted "Extra Photos" function. Will try it out with some pics of our walk but no idea where they can be seen.
