A quite brilliant book looking at events surrounding the attempted assassination of Bob Marley in 1976 and the subsequent impact of Jamaican drug trafficking to the U.S..

Written largely in patois it brings to life a turbulent time in Jamaica's recent history.

Help me also understand one of my favourite Clash songs, Safe European Home, better and realise (even more) what an astonishing song writer Bob Marley was. The title of this blip comes from one of his songs; Get Up, Stand Up.
