Life through the lens...

Japanese anemone leaf

As promised, this is a shot of the ceramic leaf we bought at Harlow Carr on the 15th April.
Handmade by Kelbrook Pottery, which is in the little village of Kelbrook, near Colne, Lancashire. In fact very near to where we started our Sunday walk!
All the pottery is fired at over 1200 c. The leaves are developed from real leaves grown in their allotments.
This one is a Japanese anemone ( autumn colours)
Spent the morning clearing up after yesterday. The fine dust got everywhere! Including the upstairs bathroom.
I hadn't realised that the wash basin had actually come off the wall, and was lying on the floor!
Instead of putting that back, we have decided to buy a new one, as well as a new toilet, and completely revamp the littlest room in the house!
(We will have to pay for everything, except a new door, ceiling and the decorating, and fitting the basin.)
The plasterer is coming tomorrow morning to do the ceiling. In the afternoon we are having a  new door fitted, and then next week they are coming to decorate.
Then the plumber will fit the new basin, and toilet, and tile the floor.
Hopefully in a few weeks it will all be over! Everything back to normal!
