Bird's eye view

Or Canary's eye view, to be exact.

In London for a meeting with a client today, at 1 Canada Square in Canary Wharf (or the big tower, as it should really be known). This is the view from the 21st floor, so not actually all that impressive.

What was impressive was that we made it to the meeting at all. Our first plane (propellors! quaint!) from Belfast nearly made it to the runway before the pilot decided to head back to the gate. He tried turning it off and turning it on again (I kid you not), but that didn't work, so they unloaded us, told us to head four gates to the right, and put us on a plane there instead.

As we were getting on board, we heard an announcement telling the passengers heading to Southampton that their flight had been delayed 'for operational reasons'. The reason clearly being that their plane was now heading to London City instead.

Anyway, on the way home now. A long day.
