German Wine
The big secret about German wine is that they really only export the stuff they don't want to drink themselves. The really good stuff stays here. I'm sure there are a few places where you can find a decent bottle but I bet you pay for it.
I've never tried Wein from this particular Weingut but the name is promising (and do you know how many people mispronounce it "Rye-sling" instead of "Ree-sling"?, you'd be surprised.)
I went to bed surprisingly early last night - like just after 9 p.m. slept badly and had a very weird dream. The weirdest bit about it was just at the end when I noticed the soundtrack and thought "My dreams don't usually have a soundtrack. And why does it sound just like my alarm...ohh... botheration*..."
The day stayed at that weird sort of dissociative I'm-here-but-it-might-be-a-film level all day. Warm enough to walk around without a jacket this afternoon, people scraping ice from their windscreens this morning.
*I say "Botheration" but what I really meant was "You dirty f******, low-down, cheating **** of an alarm". I do need my tea to function first thing.
