Who knows what this is ...

This olde world fruit brings back such good memories from my childhood. We had a hedge if them outside the kitchen. I think us kids were the only ones who ate them. I remember the very distinctive tart flavour and the goes seeds - yes it's a quince. I was delighted to find one in the store the other day and bought it to show C. She'll probably think it awful - maybe I will too!
