Altogether Unexpected

Unexpectedly had a special visitor for lunch, and then, also unexpectedly, asked to meet an old friend from Brazil days in Birmingham city centre - was so good to catch up.

Then, as we were in town, and all offspring busy, unexpectedly got taken out for a meal by the husband - to a place we'd not been to before, but were too cold (and desperate for the loo) to look further. It was an unexpectedly good find - the food and the service were excellent. Dessert was cookie dough served in a scorching hot cast iron pan - burnt ourselves on the unexpectedly hot chocolate chips.

Exiting there, the setting sun was casting a golden glow on some parts of the Council building, and then we walked home from the train station in unexpected rain.
