Battle scars from the big local paper derby

Local bragging rights were at stake tonight as the Burnley Express took on rival paper the Lancashire Telegraph at the Crow Wood Stadium .....

Sadly we never recovered from the Telegraph's explosive start where they blasted in five quick-fire goals to leave us with a mountain to climb.

The final score was something like Lancashire Telegraph 20, Burnley Express 17, defences quite clearly on top...

And just to make matters worse, I took a ball to the face, ironically enough from their web guy, leaving me with a cut on my eye lid, nice!
