It turns out trying to take close-up pictures of giant clematis flowers in Scottish windy weather isn't very easy - who knew?

The montana clematis that featured several times over the last few months is now nearly over, with most of the flowers having shed their petals. There are two other clematis plants though planted up through the same mesh, and now it's this one's turn to shine. There are 8 of these flowers in total, they are huge and really blousy :)

Today I planted the beans I pictured a few days ago out into the garden, where they will hopefully climb up the chicken wire on the front wall. And, more to the point, where they will hopefully start producing beans!
