Buddy can you spare a smile?

Okay, not one accustomed to being usurped by my "superior" knowledge on anything English/British, She smugly informed me of the following:

"June Brown is in fact an MBE! she was made a MBE in the 2008 Queens Birthday Honours, for services to drama and charity, so there!"

Yeah, well I thought, not wanting to rehash the "Great Ketchup War": Dot Cotton should still be a Dame!!

Besides, "There ain't nothing like a Dame"

We met the man in the photo yesterday afternoon, outside the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, patiently explaining the best way to avoid public scorn, ridicule and spittle!

Homelessness is a really serious matter of discussion here in San Francisco, with some of the newly 'minted' "Dot-Com" millionaires feeling it beneath them to "endure" a person like this gentleman in "their" environs and wanting the city to remove them from their sight!

In all honesty, Google, Yahoo and their internet cohorts may all be wonderful companies and terrific places to work, blah, blah, blah, but the attitude of their (whatever term they use for workers) off "campus" is why they're really not welcomed in parts of the city.

Much to their chagrin even less than this gentleman.

Not wanting to get 'political' about it, or anything, but who the hell do they think they are!!! Trust me, GOD is not an apt description!
