Little Cherry Tree

My niece Philippa and her family bought this cherry tree for Jack and me when we got married in 2013. Last year it just had a little bit of blossom....this year as you can see it has lots. I must look up how soon I need to cover it with netting to protect it from the birds. Any advice?

Went to bed at 9.30pm. Woke up at mid-day!
