The Lord Conyers Morris Men - Dancing in the Dawn

Taken this morning at dawn by Robin Hood's trysting tree. A perfect May Day morning again. After last night's sombre Abbots Bromley Horn Dance at sunset, this was traditional Morris dancing to welcome in the summer.

Many thanks to the dancers and musicians of the Lord Conyers Morris for keeping this tradition going.

Hal-an-tow, jolly rumble-O!
We were up long before the day-O!
To welcome in the Summer, to welcome in the May-O!
For Summer is a-coming in and Winter's gone away-O!
