Stripes of various colours!

I'm slightly wary of variegated plants as some of them can be very garish - I've kept their use to a minimum at Arduaine.

Iris pseudacorus 'Variegata', however, is a little different as the foliage, though strongly striped in the spring, fades to green over the summer.

This clump is growing in shallow water at the edge of one of our ponds.

Guess who gatecrashed the party!
