Still winter in the hills

It was a crisp May day so we decided to go for a short walk in the Pentlands. We parked at Swanston and went up Allermuir first for a change. There were great views in all directions with patches of sun catching snow covered hills, rape fields and the shale bings in West Lothian. This is the view north west and shows the hills of Ben More and Stob Binnein above Crianlarich. Also visible is the power station at Longannet. We could also see Arran to the west and the Angus Hills to the north. I've added an extra shot of the view east to Caerketton and East Lothian. It may have been a short walk, but great scenery only 20 minutes from home.
