Skateboarding artist Robbie Hamilton

Well, you’ve got to admit it’s an unlikely match: gritty urban youth culture meets posh Bridge of Allan gallery.

Tonight Robbie Hamilton, recent graduate of Duncant of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee and already making a name for himself in the art world,  had a solo  exhibition opening at the &Collective gallery.

The centrepiece was his skateboarding ramp, complete with original marks.

An enthusiastic skateboard of some ten years he uses his passion for this urban sport as the source material for his work.

His work may not be to everyone’s taste- he uses a lot of cement-  but at least it reflects the world we live in today - and very accessible.
