The Meccano Bridge

This morning I went for a long walk with a friend starting in Mosses Gate Park, through to the old canal and up to two disused sets of three locks, the Prestolee locks at Nob end! At the top we found this Meccano style bridge which replaces the horse bridge No. 50, demolished many years ago. The new bridge was designed by Liam Curtin and close by is a picnic area with Meccano tables!
