Shaldon

We travelled down to Shaldon, South Devon, today for a few days at the chalet. We knew the weather forecast wasn't good, and it was true to its word. As we stretched our legs along Shaldon beach it was dry'ish but with a biting wind. We were glad to dive into The Clipper for a warm and cup of tea. Once up to the chalet the weather deteriorated, wet, windy and misty. In fact our normal panoramic view of the sea was non-existent and even close by trees were shrouded in mist. Never mind, we switched on the fire, made another cuppa and settled down for the evening (snooker and Montalbano). Tomorrow promises to be a bit better.

I took this picture on the beach as we were walking to the comfort of the cafe.
