Goodbye

Dinner with hubby in one of my favorite chain restaurants. I love the food, it's spacious , never too noisy, and the Chinese decoration is stylish. When I was a teenager I developed a love for the Chinese culture about which I had mainly learned through the books of Pearl S. Buck. I collected them all. Mao and the changes that his regime brought, seemed harsh, but, believing his propaganda, necessary. Meanwhile, I see this country with very different eyes. I don't feel the need to travel there. But a little trip down memory lane, like in the restaurant today , is fun.
