day 25: they've arrived...

...and it's the 1st official family portrait

they were very cooperative - for me with the black box - all things considered - with the little goslings - jumping into the water - swimming about like they'd been - doing it forever - when in reality they only - have been in this world - a mere day - it amazes me that life - for them simply takes off - there is no resting really - they just get after it - with being in the water right - away as well as hunting for - food in the grasses which - are around their nesting - area; it's as if - it's all second nature to - them, innate - they don't have to be taught - it just comes to them - it was so fun to watch - them play and banter - about with one another

i should point out - that only 4 goslings hatched from - the 5 eggs laid by mama goose - i don't know if she will - try to hatch the last one - it's still in the nest - we'll see over the next days - what happens to it - but for now there are - 4 delightfully healthy ones romping - around and that has made for...

a

happy day.....
