In Seventh Heaven
A packed day. The boy was home for another rugby event the night before. Drinking was positively restrained so he could fully enjoy the European final at Twickenham, where he had free tickets. He and I had a trip to the fancy sport and cycling shops in the morning for what he calls 'quality time with your boy'. Him in mischievous mood. Kept holding my hand hard and dragging me across the road like his little girl. Trainers were too expensive for him though. Dropped him off at the train station, treated him to an M&S sandwich and squeezed in a run to the viaduct and back. Then off to posh Royal Leamington to meet old school friends G&J from Ramsgate days. NJ found a record shop and so he was hard to drag away from that.
My boss had also invited us to what he calls 'his Leamington pile' for a fancy cup of tea. But turns out he had decided to nip down to his other pile in Cornwall for the long weekend. (Hooray for me - he has no wifi there!).
So a pleasant meal and catch up (in Carluccios lovelies) and a chance for me to wear my sticky-outy dress. The next meet up is already being planned; to Bletchley Park. Enjoy the break if you can, all you 'hard working families' out there! x
