green tea...

...and what an afternoon tea it was!

Powdered green tea (matcha) whisked with a chasen, a bamboo tea whisk offered after a journey through a Japanese Tea Ceremony at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.

A serene and contemplative exhibition at the gallery is  'Moriko Moro:Rebirth' and in conjunction with that and a celebration of Western Australia's sister state status with Japan's Hyogo Prefecture, today was an opportunity to be part of a tea ceremony.
