sightseeing frenzy

so our first full day one in london, and we spent our time running wild from place to place - i'm positive we visited all the best places in the city altogether!

we did a lot of sightseeing in the morning and afternoon, then managed to have lunch at the Trafalgar, which was really, really nice, expensive-nice though haha!

after that we visited the maritime museum, walked around the grenwhich markets, then made our way down to the thames where we boarded a big boat

this took us on a river tour, and we saw such brilliant landmarks really close up, which was really nice. we saw all the main bridges, tower bridge was definitely my favourite, the houses of parliament, big ben, oxo tower and so much more!

this is one of my favourite pictures from today, as it captures big ben when it was actually striking 6 - a really brilliant thing to witness, despite this being my hundredth (probably) time here in london :)

we also managed to see buckingham palace and her horsemen and guards on the way home, what a wonderful day!

i love it here, it is absolutely amazing, and as a bonus - EVERYTHING is coated in blue, red and white!

yay i'll be back in a few weeks with the school :D

river pageant tomorrow, i am very excited! cannot wait to see the queen and the other royals in their boats, but it'll be an early start to secure a good place by the river..
