Montmartre

This is one of my favorite spots in Paris but I must admit that today's visit was a bit disappointing.

The main square which used to be packed with artists is now taken over by extensions of the cafes which surround the square, with the artists now around the perimeter of the inner square.

Although there are still the traditional French artists working in oils and watercolours, there is a growing number of people doing portraits and caricatures, as well as people cutting silouhettes with scissors, it's always been touristy but now even more so.
