1215-2015

This is the Salisbury copy of Magna Carta agreed at Runnymede on 15 June 1215!
Apparently it's difficult to read because a lot of the words have been abbreviated (bit like modern day texting!) as the velum was very expensive so they needed to fit a great deal of text onto each piece! The writing is tiny as you can see but it's perfect and very beautiful.
