Protected fledgling

The young bird was on the ground, and the adult was there to protect it.

I'm posting sporadically now as I'm packing for vacation, and once we're on the road I'm not sure when I'll be able to post. A couple days in Texas, then Central America, then the East Coast of the US, then home. Have a great summer!
