Bluebells

Hurray for bank holidays! Today has been a real catch-up day and day to relax. Mum came over for what was meant to be a deli lunch, but our plans were foiled when it was closed. We went for a much inferior sandwich in the pub instead. The sun was shining for our walk over to the nature reserve; it's a gorgeous walk through farms and off the track parts of the village. Mum hadn't been there before and really enjoyed exploring. The bluebells were a very welcome surprise, and along with the bird watching, tree climbing, stream jumping it made for a lovely couple of hours. We rewarded ourselves with tea and cake when we got home. I'm going to spend the rest of the evening trying as hard as possible to forget about returning to work tomorrow.
