Tikal Mayan ruins!

Today was an early start for us at 4am, in order to get out to Tikal and beat the crowds. We drove for around an hour to get to the ruins, but it was worth it to see these ancient wonders in person. The site is around 24km x 24km so it took a few hours to see the main temples and we burned a lot of energy climbing up and down the giant stairs! Cameron enjoyed the fact that the site was also used to film some of the original Star Wars movie and we were there on May the Fourth!
