Wattle I Do

It was a very cold 5 degrees when we headed off this morning for a walk. With eyes and noses streaming we must have been quite a sight!!

There are about 950 - 1000 different types of wattle (acacia) in Australia, this is but one of them.

It's what I would call the hairy leafed one which is a very technical term! :) See today's extra photo for an example.

I'm not totally sure but I think this is like a 'packet' of blossoms as the layers are almost transparent and it looks like little clumps of unopened blossoms inside.
