hanafubuki

There was rain.  Much rain.  Biblical proportions.

And then the sun came out.  Everyone rejoiced!

This gorgeous tree reminded me of a new word I learned in Japan - hanafubuki.  This means petal storm and refers to the cherry blossoms losing their petals - a reminder that change is inevitable, that all is impermanent. 

And it's gorgeous.
