Let there be light!

These two spent well under one hour erecting a new street light opposite our house. It's right next to the stump of the old one which was removed some months ago.

I waited for them to look up at the light with a "job well done" feel about them. They didn't.

The main function of the light is to illuminate our front porch: during the dark ages we installed a sensor activated lantern to help us find the keyholes if we were coming home late and had neglected to switch on the main porch light. We may sue MK Council for rendering our new lantern redundant.
