Book for thought

I've just completed this book which Nigel bought for me some time ago. I loved the cover and the blurb sounded interesting ( tales from a man who bought a meadow in France) however in reality there is much more to it than that. I now know far more about Death Watch beetles, flies and the various things that can afflict campion flowers but also I understand far better the problems besetting the worlds bee and other insect populations and humanity's part in these.
Very interesting reading :)
