The road through the glen
The new forest is fairly growing up at the head of Glen Kin - when I first walked this road it was bounded by tall trees so that coming on the bench at the top of the glen was always a surprise; then we had the years of open road and plain view after the harvest and replanting. Now it is once again becoming more mysterious, though planting further back means that the road in many places is bounded by young birch trees.
A day of calm, in contrast with the frenetic pace of the last day of campaigning before tomorrow's General Election polling. Westminster felt worlds away.
