Pitch invasion!

Despite the usual exhortations to fans not to run on to the pitch at the final whistle, they did.

It wasn't really a celebration, more a show of relief really. Despite losing 1-0 to Bradford City, Crewe survived by the skin of their teeth - results elsewhere meant Crewe finished two points above the League One relegation places in 20th place.

Given the team only got four points from the first 11 games and were still bottom at Christmas, survival is, I suppose, commendable. Like most fans, I'm hoping for a better start to next season, and maybe being nervous for the right reasons at the top end of the table. #Optimistic
