The Rose of Jericho - changes in hours!

The Rose of Jericho grows in tropical, arid regions of Asia, Africa and South America. It is very unpretentious and resistant against heat and aridity.
Dry, the Rose of Jericho looks like an unimpressive round ball (this morning). Like that it is carried by the wind for hundreds of miles. When the rainy season starts, it opens, changes its colour from brown to green. (This evening). It takes root. When a drought starts, it curls up again, the roots die and it becomes detached from the ground.
The wonder of nature, the plant never dies!
An unusual souvenir given to me by my mother bought in Passau.
