Science and gourmet supper

Took a train into London today to attend the annual general meeting of the Guild of Motoring Writers, of which I am a vice president. It was a very successful meeting, including the election of a new committee member, Sophie W-S, who blips as SophieLorraine. It was really good to see a bright, energetic young woman getting involved in the running of a somewhat inevitably male-dominated organisation that has recently celebrated its 70th anniversary.

The meeting was at the Science Museum, and afterwards we had a private after-hours guided tour of the new Information Age Exhibition. On the way through to it, my eye was caught by some of the wonderful transport exhibits, including some suspended from the walls and ceiling.

Then the committee went out to dinner, hosted by Citroen, at Richard Corrigan's Michlin-starred restaurant in Park Lane. The food was divine, and as the company's overall PR chief is a renowned wine connoiseur, so was the wine. All French, naturellement!
