Ant fodder....

...this extremely tiny ant, about 4mm long, carried this dead slater (which was tiny too, but bigger than its captor) from my veggie garden to the safer confines of a crack in the paving near the shed to devour his lunch by himself. He was accosted along the way by several of his buddies, but he was NOT sharing. He didn't even drag it, he picked it up, carried it higher than himself, all the way, swinging over cracks when necessary. Ah, the wonders of the tiny insect world! I need a proper macro lens! Needed to do a large crop to even see the little creatures!
