Mr & Mrs J Clark

This clock has stood on the mantlepiece in our back room for nearly 30 years and it's been at almost 9.30 for most of that time. It was given to L by her great uncle Jack and proudly sits there dominating the space it sits in. Jack was old-school Labour - a steam locomotive driver and party activist and obviously well thought of by his local ward. I thought it appropriate to highlight this one today as York is still in the throes of the election with Rachael already elected as our MP and the council count to be completed tomorrow. I know the candidates for our ward and I pleased to say that whilst the jobs they have may be very different to Jack, the reasons they're active in the party remain the same.
