Rain, glorious rain!

At last! We have had a nice soak overnight, with the promise of more, although the sky has cleared considerably this morning. There is something special about the response of plants to rain rather than the sprinklers.  It just feels fresher.  This is the leaf of an Aquilegia vulgaris (Granny's Bonnet), a European  flower that I find delicate and beautiful. The surface of the leaf seems to be somewhat water repellent , offering me these gorgeous spherical raindrops.
