Remembering VE Day

Estrella has just been regaling me with her memories of VE Day.

She ended up in the pub with her brothers and a load of RAF lads and got absolutely plastered.    One of her brothers carried her home on his shoulders, lost his balance as he staggered up the garden path and dropped her on her Dad's glass cucumber frame.   Not surprisingly she and her brother were not feeling in the best of health the following day.
